I turn off the alarm, get dressed, and have breakfast.

Yes.

Do you drink tea or eat toast while you read?
Yes.

I used to say the only things I don't do while reading are sleep, shower, and sex. That's no longer true; a ziplock fixes 1/3 of my former limitations. (I suppose combining reading and sex is possible, but it seems it wouldn't be giving fair attention to either. I'm working on how to read in my sleep.)

Before anyone asks... I don't drive.

Do you read when you wake up or before you fall asleep?
Yes. Often both. It's time to stop reading when the ereader has slipped out of my fingers more than twice.

How do you prime your brain for a lengthy reading session?
I tell everyone else in the family that I'm doing Important Work and am not to be disturbed, and sort through my TBR list for something that's more than 100,000 words long.
