Reading isn't work or something otherwise tiresome or exhausting for me for what I'd might have to prepare or get in the mood for. It's my most valued free time activity. Freely stealing from a song:

Books have been my first love and they will be my last;
be they about future or be about times passed.
To live on without reading - don't know how I could do;
