That's the nice thing about the Nebulous Notes file switcher: it lists all text files from across your Dropbox account, regardless of folder, so that it's easy to switch to
any file quickly, using that panel. There are also lots of sorting options within that panel. I'd say, for the convenience offered by that panel, it's a small price to pay to have to make the 1 extra tap to access the panel. Having the panel displayed permanently would not suit me -- I typically use the iPad in portrait mode, and the screen real estate available for editing would be decreased a lot by the panel being constantly visible.
Still, having a slim toolbar row with file tabs as requested by Rizla, might be useful. The Nebulous Notes developer seems communicative, and if I cared about this functionality, I'd shoot him a message to request it.
