I'm sorry, but it was applied correctly, with no bubbles and to manufacturer's instructions. I have seen this effect more than once, including on a phone I bought used that had an antiglare protector professionally installed. The effect goes away with a crystal clear protector installed instead, so yes, it *is* the antiglare protectors that cause this effect for my eyes.

As I say, I can't stand them! They reduce clarity.
