Check out Olivetree. It is an app that runs on all major platforms. You can have a bible and commentrary/study notes open on the same screen. You can take notes and have the notes synced across all devices.

The books and bible tend to be a bit more expensive than some I have compared with for the Kindle. They do however have many free, good items, including bibles, maps, and commentaries. They also have frequent sales. Some of the sales have been awesome.
