I agree that Sony's dictionaries are much better. Even if you stick with non-translation dictionaries, Sony offers you the choice between British and American English dictionaries, both from Oxford.

One thing I'd like to see is the ability to purchase and install better dictionaries into Kobo's direct e-book interface, as one can with Kindles already. A nice touch, and potentially a profitable one for Kobo.
