Mine was acting up until a reboot: that fixed the sound problem above, but also the sensor-locking not locking up. But it also fixed the charging indicator not working correctly (it was blinking green rapidly = activity? even though I wasn't using it)

Afterwards, it was blinking slowly orange as per manual, and this morning it was solid green, indicating a full charge. I also used a wall charger for this, namely a Garmin USB charger for their GPS devices which use the same plug.
