I had a stroke 5 years ago, so holding and reading actual books is a bit of a challenge for me. I already had an ebook reader (Sony PRS-500) so migrating over to ebooks exclusively was easy to do as I found I could hold the reader easily, AND I could go to a large enough font size to be able to read(the stroke screwed with my eyesight for about a year).
I have since improved to the point where my eyesight is back to what it was pre-stroke, i.e. piss-poor, and I can physically handle books to an extent, so I can read "dead tree" books, but the e-reader (currently NookTablet) and ebooks are just so darned convenient that I've continued to read mostly ebooks. That being said, however, I ordered two hard-back books from Amazon Monday. Naval Science doesn't translate well to ebook form.
