Additionally, I find the official reader to be flimsier as well as thinner than many alternatives. Official covers for Sony Readers seem never to have that issue; why do Kobo's?

Now I feel better about not waiting for the brown Aura HD cover! I thought that the whole cover matched the Aura HD, not just the back. I did pay only $25 for my cover though (Chapters online store), if I had paid $50 for the cover I probably wouldn't be as happy with it, but I feel like it is a solid cover for the price that I paid. I did find the Sony covers that I owned to be much better (T1 lighted cover, 350 lighted cover and 505 stock cover), and I far preferred my Sony readers overall to any other that I have handled, actually, but the HD screen and front light of the Aura HD was too much to pass up, and I love the freedom that I have in adjusting my fonts, too.
