For me the biggest reason to get the 700 is the light - I read at night a lot, and that will be a godsend. I would have gotten the 505 with the light cover, but this just looks more elegant.

I also suspect the built in light offers some mechanical stability to the device and helps protects the screen against point pressure that might otherwise crack the screen. This alone is a good feature even if you never turned the light on. Time will tell if there are less screen breaks on this device.
