Twobob, you mentioned in your original reply that "I vaguely recall that it retrieves the same construct from the same location every time." do you have any more info on this, maybe I can do something at the AP to emulate the Amazon service.

Well I managed to get a text search going previously and output the file I attached, but I just cannot seem to do it again, I am obviously doing something stupid. Every time I try the kindle just hangs and I need to restart it again. The following is a cut and past from the terminal window:
[root@[192_168_15_244] root]# cd /
[root@[192_168_15_244] /]# ls
bin cust dev etc lib mnt opt proc sbin sys tmp usr var
[root@[192_168_15_244] /]# find . -print0 | xargs -0 grep -i -n "wifi"
