Ah - that link is about the Kindle Paperwhite Generation(1) device.
If that is what you have, then all is well and good.
There is a very simple to use jailbreak in the Paperwhite Jailbreak thread.

If your "new" Kindle Paperwhite is a Generation(2) device -
Not so good.
It can only be jail broken using the serial port.

The easiest way to be sure of what you have is to post the first 4 characters (only) of the device's serial number.
We can tell you if the news is good or bad from that information.
