I know I am late but I had a very busy weekend!
As you know Kobo made me lose my credit card for excessive use in a foreign country. It seems now with them using World Pay even though it says U.S. on the statements the card issuer counted them as Kobo trying to get around the system. My card issuer calls it fraud.
So they closed my card. It has nothing to due with the amounts but the way World Pay charges their transactions. I was given a bunch of terms and conditions.
I tried to explain it's the new checkout system and it's full of glitches but they wont budge.
You would think they would just block Kobo or World Pay instead of penalizing me for something I have no control over.
So if you have a Green Dot card or a card issued by GE Money Bank don't use it at Kobo!
Paypal Debit card is also issued by them and Amazon and several other cross branded cards. Google for a list. I wouldn't want anyone else in my position because they will blame you not the merchant.
Now with that said I had a nice weekend. I bought a RCA 7" Tablet online from Walmart and it was too cheaply made and had angle view to where you could only see the screen if the tablet laid flat. I took it back and got a Nextbook 7" Premium tablet ($80) which is really nice for a budget tablet it's not ideal for reading but I didn't get it for that. So I did some holiday shopping!.
Due to my card being cut off I didn't buy much books this week. Nine books and one Audible isn't bad. I did not read at all this week.
Also just a heads up with the Holidays here I probably wont be on as much as I like so if you see something free please post it. I will probably get over here in the late afternoon early evening so I don't want anyone to miss out on freebies or deals that expire.
If any of you see some a good Christmas Romance books that aren't like 4th or 8th in a series please let me know. It doesn't need to be on sale.
I will have my phone with me so I can check in various times of the day I just can't post links from it without wanting to throw it against the wall.
Edit: I forgot two books! so it's 11 books and 1 audible. The two missing ones are the Jane Bond books.
