If you bought the books under consideration using the new look checkout then it may be because they're still having difficulties reconciling purchases made through it.
They still haven't issued me receipts for any of the purchases I've made with the new look checkout so it doesn't surprise me that you're getting marketing advances about the books that you've 'looked at', because their various databases aren't talking to each other sufficiently to recognise that you've purchased the book.
I also get the 'have another look at .... ' emails for books that I've already purchased on the new look checkout.
