Well I took the RCA tablet back and got the Nextbook 7 Premium. It's a nice tablet the display is okay nothing close to real tablet like a Kindle Fire, HD or HDX or Nexus but it's okay.
However I am learning that these apps are not Jelly Bean compatible.
I get blank ads and flashing video when the video plays. I can't believe I was told this would work with the apps. However the person wanting a geez wiz tablet this is perfect.
Edit:
I've decided to keep it. One app works okay and Screen dim stops the flashing.(this a app specific it plays Netflix and everything else nicely.) That's the video app I run all day anyway. It's a really nice budget tablet but it does have a view angle to it but it's not too bad. Charges really quickly too. I think it took about 3 hours.
It comes with the Nook app installed but the site also has the Kobo app. Not going to put that one on. It has Google Play so that is a plus. This is a great tablet I think for older kids. It's a bit hefty but weighs less than the original Kindle Fire which is 14 ounces. My Kindle Zip sleeve for the HDX works great for it.
My only real complain is the top layer of the screen is a fingerprint magnet and cleaning the screen makes it look more dirty so you got to really make sure the cloth is a tad damp to get the oil off. I first though maybe there was one of those plastic layers on top but that doesn't seem to be the case here.
So moms and dads if you are looking to get your kid a tablet but don't want to pay much this is a nice one that is dual core 1.5 processor and lots of extras that more expensive tablets have.
