Page refresh can occur in every page, even if configured otherwise:
1) If the ambient is hot or cold excessively.
2) If it's loaded with some task, like indexing books.
Keep the wi-fi on. I noticed Kindle indexes faster then. (In the range of internet connection, of course.)
