Fortunately, newer washing machines add soap after water is added to a wash, so, no, there was no soap in the wash yet. I'll find some proper cleaner for the motherboard. Or, I'll just buy a Kindle with a broken screen. They are pretty cheap on eBay. I have purchased used motherboards in the past, for about $25, and they work fine.
