I actually own the 1st gen Mini. So if I get the new one, I'll sell the 1st gen Mini and possibly, return or sell my iPad air. In other words, I kind of see myself with only one iPad, instead of two. But I wanted to give the iPad air a try, hold it, read, browse Internet with it. The issue is that it's impossible to compare actual usage against the new Mini, because it's not being sold yet. Online reviews give you an idea of what to expect but they are just that, reviews. I like to decide that myself.
