Ooooooooooooohkay. I don't think I've ever used the PDS, so I suspect I don't "get" the idea, or the purpose. This is all to save something from having an ugly cover on the bookshelf--is that right? I cannot think of another distinction, other than the destination folder, for a PDOC over a book?
