I am in Ottawa Canada and my Glo has not been updated from 2.8.1. You would think that by now it would be available especially since people in Toronto and Montreal have received it. I have tried it on 2 different computers, same result.
I find Kobo's method of tech support to be really bad with the files not available, no info on them and this forum the only source of information.
The Kobo Desktop doesn't have an update option, I had to download the newest version (3.4) and overwrite the old version. I should have uninstalled the older version but writing over it seemed to be ok. The newer version didn't result in my getting the new firmware though.
