Office Depot and OfficeMax Merge

Office Depot and OfficeMax merged on 05 Nov to become Office Depot. No details yet on how this will impact individual stores. As a larger and stronger entity, I hope to see stronger competition in the technology sector.

With Black Friday right around the corner, will they be operating as their current entities or as the new combined one? And what kind of deals will they be offering? Last Aug, OM had 20% off coupons on all tablets and ereaders. I was able to get a 32GB Nexus 7.2 for only $216. I wonder if they'll be as aggressive for BF?

Quote:
Office Depot and OfficeMax completed our merger of equals on November 5th, 2013. By combining our two companies, we've become a $17 billion company and a stronger, more efficient global provider of office products, services, and solutions. Our team of associates is fully committed to setting a new standard for serving the workplaces of today and tomorrow through innovation and exceptional customer experiences.
