Talking New Lurker from Michigan!

Hi!

I ordered my Sony 505 two days ago and I discovered this forum while I was trying to figure out a part of the order form on the Sony site, and while there wasn't any help here , I thought this would be a great place to hang out AFTER my reader comes.

I will probably do more lurking than posting but I wanted to pop in and say hi!

A little background: I was quite a reader when I was younger, but working full time and getting married and starting a family has all gotten the way of my reading. It hasn't stopped me from buying books though and one of my "justifications" is that my "unread" stack will not take up so much space in the house!

Lately I've been reading books that are scifi/fantasy/paranormal, but my "paper" collection is a mix of classics, general fiction, and mysteries as well as some young adult fantasy (like Harry Potter. ) and Christian titles.

I especially like books that are engrossing multivolume series -- like Diana Gabaldon's Outlander series (which I looked up in the Sony store before I place my order. ) I also have several mystery series that I stopped collecting several years ago, which have continued to grow, and I'm hoping to fill the gaps with electronic versions.

I'm looking forward to combing the ebook and recommendation forums and seeing what you all have to say!

(There are a lot of cute smilies around here! )
