... forgot to add: it's no achievement for Fire HDX to be lighter than iPad Air, considering it has a much smaller screen! In fact, HDX's screen size is roughly in between iPad Air and iPad mini.
No doubt, HDX is a fine tablet, but I'd be wary of Amazon's ultra-super-high-walled garden.
