I started with a Sony 505 that was gifted to me by my son in 2008. He had thought of a Kindle, but was next to someone, on a flight, that convinced him to get me the Sony instead. I loved it and used it well for over 4 years.

I picked up a Black Friday 2011 special of a KK3 then I was again gifted a KFire by my son in 2011. I happily started downloading amazon freebies (and continue to do so). I switched back and forth using the Sony and the Kindles, but purchased only DRM free books.

I still love the build and feel of the 505, but it has lost out to my KFire as I can read my DRM'd epubs on the KFire. Now, my favorite reader is the KFire and I use the KK3 in bright sunlight.
