Know what feels really disconcerting? I was clipping my toes a few minutes ago and Crystal, our Volkswagen-sized monster dog, started eating the clippings as they fell from my toes. It's a strange feeling seeing a dog waiting to eat any body parts that happen to fall to the floor. And this is a spoiled, well-fed dog who gets canned food in the morning for breakfast, Fresh Pet refrigerated pet food in the evenings, beaucoup treats in-between, and who, in addition, always has some dry food in her dish for snacking on. Makes me wonder how long the rest of me would last if I dropped dead while no one was home. Would my wife come looking for me only to find leftovers?
