Victoria--The PW2's new "page flip" feature can be helpful in this area--I love it. When you're in page flip mode, the PW2 will remember your current page and open up a separate window that allows you to skim backward and forward while still keeping your current postion. I use it quite a bit--and think it's one of the best things about the PW2.
