I'll just put it out there: I bought 39 books and both my arms and legs are still intact. So. That is all

I read the following romance-related stuff recently:

The Duchess War by Courtney Milan - 4 stars (my first full-length novel of hers and I really liked this one!)

Between Friends by Sandra Kitt - 4 stars (I felt the romance was secondary compared to the issues of race and identity that were raised.)

A Kiss for Midwinter by Courtney Milan - 3.5 stars (A nice novella. I liked the hero a lot.)

Because You are Mine by Lena Hart - 3 stars (Novella; OK but needs editing.)

Because You Love Me - 1 star (Novella; bad, and needs a lot of editing.)

Spoiler:

Hero is jealous, possessive and rage-y; at one point he's so mad he pushes heroine and her head hits the wall. He gets on like a butt throughout and heroine gives him a pass in the end because of some sob story about his terrible childhood with his abusive father. Please. Just no.

OK, now I can go read (pet my new purchases )
