SquirrelMail is a server side solution, and likely not what you need.

As for Eudora, the road map is for Mozilla Thunderbird to become the base, with gradual modification to add in Eudora facilities.

There's an existing add-on for Thunderbird called Penelope that attempts to add some of Eudora's "look and feel". You can get it here.
