I vastly prefer my PW2 to my PW1.
  • My PW1 had significant color blobbing, my PW2 does not.
  • The lighting is much more even on my PW2.
  • I notice an improvement in contrast with my PW2.
  • I prefer the warm tone of my PW2, which looks more like a real book to me.
  • My PW2 is noticeably faster.
  • The lower end of brightness selections on my PW2 start darker, so I have more options to adjust through when I'm reading at night. (i.e., I'll usually start at 8, then as my eyes adjust, go down to about 5)
  • Although these are software features that might come to the PW2 later, I'm enjoying the page flip and vocabulary builder functions.

Overall, the only things I miss from my PW1 are the things that require a jailbreak, like the screensaver hack and JBpatch. And custom fonts, but at least embedding is an option to work around that.
