Point taken. But the poster did start the thread by asking if another OS (PalmOS) could be installed, later qualified that to include "any open-source OS" and now doesn't seem satisfied with finding that Linux is
already installed. Perhaps it would be helpful to step back and ask, "What applications do you want to run?" or even "What functions do you need the unit to perform?"
