Everything in regard to this thread's title was working fine previously, but after a disk crash and re-installation of Windows and Calibre, the e-viewer/reader window insists on opening to a narrow width (approximately 30% of the screen), and with its lower edge below the screen's lower border. What I really want is a wide width (approx 90% screen) view, centered vertically.

I've gone to the Configure e-book viewer > Preferences > Configure e-book viewer > Miscellaneous options window and checked Remember last-used window size and position option, but it does not work. It reverts to the initial narrow view every time and with every book.

Can anybody offer a cure for this? Thank you.

You could try clearing all viewer settings by:

Open the Calibre configuration folder

Delete viewer.py and viewer.json
You will lose ALL viewer settings
