Google it. We go through this stupid discussion once or twice a year. I found it when I was researching my Toyota Prius, which of course has a huge lithium battery. Toyota basically found that it would prolong battery life it they designed it to never fall below 50% charge, so they use a battery that is much larger than really needed so it can last longer.
