I wonder if Amazon takes back unsold stock from some of the B&M stores on occasion. I don't know how retail B&M stores buy from suppliers, but perhaps Amazon sells in bulk with an agreement to take back what doesn't sell. If so, that might explain the occasional influx of new K3s on the Amazon website.
