The aura takes a wide grip to be able to grasp firmly. This doesn't leave you with much reach for your thumb to navigate the touch screen unfortunately. However, you can still pretty easily read with one hand by adjusting the position of the device on your hand and using the swipe gesture to turn pages with your thumb. You can't do much else though with one hand, unless you have giant hands that is.
