Amazon lost two orders from me in the past week because of the new minimum. I placed orders at two different stores where I was able to get the same prices and free shipping.
Combined, the orders would have qualified at Amazon (each was just over $25), but the second order was unplanned, an impulse purchase because of a great sale price.
If I have to look for additional items to meet Amazon's new minimum, it's just as easy to check out another Web site.
