sweeping powers"? Well, sweeping up the occasional electronic mess is part of the job, so I guess so. But the folks on MobileRead are housebroken, and seldom
make messes, so I don't anticipate a lot of that activity.
In practical terms, what it means is that I'm an MR staff member, and can officially represent the site at industry functions like the Sony launch I wrote up last week. The Moderator hat came as part of the package, but in practice, I don't expect to wear it much.
