Well, that is cool! This is the Aldige tomb (it has my greatx3 Aldiges and my greatx2 Aldige-Hindermanns in it). Anyway, it has quite a story. You notice that the topper is weeping angels on a sinking ship? My greatx3 grandmother, Alice, was on the La Bourgogne when it was shipwrecked in 1898, along with a daughter and granddaughter. Her husband died when they were in France in 1893. She brought his body back...on the La Bourgogne. Three years before she was to die on it! Her husband, Jules, was in St. Louis 3 but, when Jules Jr. had this big tomb built in Metairie Lawn Cemetery, he move Jules Sr. there (Jules Sr.'s body got transported. A lot.)
