list of authors and series
I just bought a Kobo Aura HD for my mother. I was planning to load all the books on it from Calibre. I wanted to set it up so that I could have a list of authors and a separate list of series. Through messages on this forum I found out how to create bookshelves but I now have shelves with author names and series all intermixed. Is there no hierarchy ie author shelves and series shelves? Is there anyway that I can do what she wants? I bought it last night and I will return it tonight if I don't find a way to do this.

I do not want to root a device that my very non technical mother will use.
