So far in darkness $69 Kindle (K4B) with it's official lighted cover has been the best, least eye-taxing solution for me.
I'm yet to replace my PW2 with two pin-holes/specks and a majorly crooked screen, but I will once I get around to it.

I'd probably wait 30 days. I got into the exchange lottery and all have been equally bad. Hoepfully QA improves as time goes on.
