This has happen before, one time the book just would upload, I converted epub to epub, then uploaded and the it worked. Another time that happen there was a author problem in the metadata, I had to change the multiple author data to just one author, and I think other times I just unplugged and replugged the kobo. It's just plain weird.
I really hope it's. Bug in calibre or the plugin, don't get me wrong, but a bug would be more easily fixed then a new laptop or kobo
