Marco, I'm all for it if it can be done! I was simply quoting from the dict.cc lincence terms whose link you provided. If you believe that those licence terms are compatible with the use of dict.cc datasets directly within Marvin, then that's wonderful!

As mentioned earlier, I agree with you and I'd be interested to learn if Kris was willing to develop an "empty interface" for dictionaries for us, and allow us to customise the display of dictionary definitions/translations (pop-up bubble yes or no; split-screen at bottom or top yes or no; etc.).

In the meantime, Paul of dict.cc replied to me that as of now, no URL launch scheme for the dict.cc app is available, but that he intends to make it available later on.

I have also written to ABBYY, asking them to implement a x-callback button in the Lingvo app. No reply from them thus far, and that's a pretty long shot, anyway.

PS: I'd pay the $20 for the functionality, too.
