Well, in general I read more of the historical fictions by female authors since they are normally about some historical female characters and there's a bit of the romantic feel to it (not the cheap romance/bodice ripping style though - hence I don't call them romance).

Historical fictions by male authors normally deal with wars, battlefields or politics which are not my cup of tea. I am trying to be specific so that people who don't have much time to browse through every single thread can just click on a topic if they find it fit their taste. In general I don't browse through threads with just "historical fiction" since majority of the books will be about wars/naval/military battlefields.

By the way, could some mods please delete the thread if you find it offensive? I just try to help.
