However, page numbers ARE available in all of them on the PW 2013. The firmware may have changed. Maybe the PW 2012 will get a firmware upgrade to match the PW 2013.

I just did a sample of nine of my Amazon books, four had the page number option. This is not a universal selection. Genres include science fiction, biography, history, Bible study, mystery.
Obviously, YMMV.
