That's a very pragmatic point of view
If I just wanted to read it, I could download it off the Internet. But especially for a fantasy saga of 6.000 pages, features like X-Ray and bookmarks are really helpful and I don't want to miss them. I think that is understandable.
Maybe I'll try it later, just to see if this fixes the problem.

The file size is about 7 megabytes. The english Bible has more than 12 megabytes and works perfectly fine. So it can't be the file size alone...

Amazon just refunded me the money for "A Game of Thrones", I'll by one of the single books now and see if there are any problems - even if they're more expensive I hope there won't be any more problems now.
