The most important app I have is called Documents, it's by Readdle. It doesn't exist for Android and I literally can't have a tablet without it. That's why I will always have, and need, an iPad, regardless of its price.

I do have a basic Android tablet that I use mainly for reading on but the lack of some crucial apps in the Android market, plus the ease of use of iOS, keeps me with Apple.
