Kaysclie, that is just awful. Definitely, you should make a stink at the post office about it. File a formal report and take pictures of the envelope before you give it to them.
I would also call Newegg just to let them know about it. They may do something for you -- like give you a rain check or something. Obviously, even if they sent you another one, there is no time for you to return the rebate by the deadline, so hopefully they will compensate you on that too. But definitely let Newegg know that either DHL or the USPS stole merchandise.
