I had a free trial of Prime a couple of years back and lately Amazon's been offering me another free trial--I will wait till holiday time to sign up so I can have Christmas gifts shipped direct to a number of people. I don't think Prime is worth it for me otherwise, though--I wouldn't take advantage of anything but the shipping.
