For me, a "falling star" is one of the most special things to see (though I love thunderstorms as well, which we should start to get again soon). I hadn't seen any for years, other than a couple of minor streaks out in the bush at Oberon when we lived down south, but coming here we have seen two large "break-ups", one while driving at night along the Noosa-Eumundi road, coming home towards Noosa, and another at late-twilight over the sea, watched from the boardwalk on Main Beach. Truth in advertising ... an oxymoron if I've ever heard one.

No ... it was just so gorgeous and unexpected, I completely forgot about the wish making part. I've seen meteor showers before, but never an individual one this close.
