My name is Andre Cameron and I am the IT Manager for Tantor Media, Inc. I was recently made aware of this forum post and the issues you reported. I took some time to run down what it was that had happened, after further investigation of the issue what we found was that there was a mistake in an existing manual order entry process.
The order in question was incorrectly associated with your email address when manually typed into our order management system. This is what caused the order confirmation email to be sent to you instead of the correct recipient. This was an unfortunate human error and was not caused by either data corruption or data migration between systems. All sensitive information is protected and was not in jeopardy due to the manual processing error.
We will be launching a revised website shortly that will be integrated with our order management system that will eliminate the need for manual processes and therefore, chance of human error.
In the meantime, additional precautions have been put into place to prevent this sort of problem from reoccurring.
