I got the battery from them as well. I placed it on the Kindle, and it behaved the same way like the old battery. It won't turn on, the green light will go on for about 7 secs, then out. The screen still stuck in "Empty Battery". I placed it then in another Kindle and the battery is working OK.
I think I'm giving up, it looks like it's some hardware issue. Her Kindle has, of course, no longer a warranty. So I guess if it's indeed a hardware issue there's nothing else to do.
